Blur is a once in a lifetime dog and it's incredible that I was lucky enough to get a dog like him for my first performance dog. He seems to really understand me, I swear he can understand English. If I am every sick he will sleep beside me until I am better, that's the type of dog he is:   very loyal.  He has quite the personality. He loves the people he knows, always greeting them with kisses.

Flyball

Blur's best sport is Flyball. Considering I didn't know how to train a dog for this sport when I got him, he has done great. After 5 years of racing he is still running under 4 seconds. He has a snappy three paw turn and powers back to the tug. Blur loves to do flyball and will run for whoever is holding his tug.

Disc Dog

OVBCC Disc Trial - October 2004

Blur enjoys Disc but expects me to throw the disc perfectly right ahead of him every time. He doesn't look for the disc and just assumes it to be there.  I had to teach him a "look up" command. Now will look up for the disc if its not in the right spot. He's better at freestyle and really enjoys showing off all his tricks.

Agility

Blur & Kes at the 2004 AAC Nationals in Montreal

Blur loves agility too. When he is on, he wins his class.  When he does badly it's just horrible. Usually with Blur it's one extreme to the other!

Dog Sledding

Zak & Blur leading the team at the 2003 Kemptville Sled race

He isn't that fond of sledding but he sure is a power house once he is hooked up and we take off. He is the leader for all the teams that I run. He runs because he gets a cookie at the end.
